Marilyn Sue Daugherty

Marilyn Sue Daugherty, age 85 of Quitman, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 10, 2022 at The Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. Marilyn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 3, 1937 to the late Margaret Elizabeth Manker Plummer and Earl Stutsman Plummer. She served her country honorably in the United States Air Force where she was a Communication Relay Operator for the Federal Aviation Administration. In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by her husband of twenty-three loving years, Woodrow Wilson Daugherty; sister, Kathryn Plummer and two brothers, George and Max Plummer.
Marilyn was a long-time resident of Melrose, Florida where she was a loving, devoted wife and homemaker. Marilyn loved cooking, baking and especially cake decorating. She was extremely talented in knitting and crocheting. Marilyn also loved fishing and water skiing, and she was a devoted member of her Methodist Church, before relocating to Quitman, Georgia.
Survivors include her nieces and nephew: Joann Lewis and husband Max of Quitman, Georgia, Michael Wade and wife Nancy of Schertz, Texas, Mary Darda of Tampa, Florida, Margaret Plummer of Summerfield, Florida and Brenda Turner of Bellview, Florida.
Marilyn will be laid to rest with her husband in Jacksonville, Florida in a private family service with military honors.
