Marjorie Ellen Patten Ivey, 97
of Lake Park, Georgia, passed away on June 14, 2025, at Lake Park of Madison after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 30, 1927, in Lakeland, Georgia, to the late Dr. Walter Patten and Ellen Sutton Patten. Marjorie had a deep love for gardening, finding peace and joy in nurturing flowers and plants. While housekeeping wasn’t always her favorite task, she approached it with care and diligence. Above all, she cherished her family and held them close to her heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward Leo Redder. Survivors include; Her husband of 21 years, Jerry Jake Ivey of Lake Park, Georgia; Daughter, Vickie Lynn Redder of Alapaha, Georgia; Grandchildren, Melissa Waites and Kimberly Redder Stubbs; Numerous great-grandchildren; Stepson, Bobby Ivey of Lake Park, Georgia; Stepdaughter, Debra Ivey of Ellerslie, Georgia; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
