Mark Wood – 59

Of Valdosta passed away at his residence early Saturday morning. He was born in Griffin, Georgia to the late Curtis Wood and Nellie Hooker. He worked in the construction industry as a sheet rock contractor. Mark was a veteran having served in the National Guard. Mark was preceded in death by his sisters Brenda Yost and Linda Fooshe. Survivors include: 2 sons, Justin Wood of Jacksonville, FL, Sammy wood of North Carolina; Sister, Kathy Jewell of Valdosta, Georgia; Brother and Sister in Law, Edgar (Bonnie) Wood of Live Oak, Florida; Brother, Sammy Wood of Valdosta, Georgia; Sister and Brother in Law, Sandra (Billy) Hutton of Alabama and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members. As per the family’s wishes, no formal services will be scheduled. The Wood family is being served by the professional and compassionate staff of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
