Marshall Steven “Sparky” Selph, 70, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away on February 2, 2025, in Moultrie, Georgia, after a lengthy illness. Marshall was born on December 4, 1954, in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Henry Selph and Kathryn Ellenburg Selph. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening. He loved spending time with his dogs, Bullet, Sugar, Roscoe, and Daisy. He was also an avid fisherman. He worked for Georgia Pecan for a number of years before retiring. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Selph, and an honorary son, Timmy Holmes.
Survivors include his significant other of over 25 years, Donna Holmes, Hahira, Georgia; sons: Andrew Selph and Blake Selph; daughter, Kristy Selph; honorary son and daughter-in-law, Steve Morris (Vicki), Valdosta, Georgia; honorary daughter, Lisa Hutchinson, Valdosta, Georgia; honorary grandson, Taylor Hutchinson (Kyleigh), Valdosta, Georgia; honorary granddaughter, Maria Register, Valdosta, Georgia; two honorary great-grandchildren, Thea and Ivy; brother, Cliff Selph, Valdosta, Georgia; brother, Danny Selph, Valdosta, Georgia; sister, Shelly Selph, Valdosta, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 6, 2025, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm the day of the service, at the funeral home. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at
