Martha “Mama Jo” Joann Tomlinson Zipperer, 79, of Lake Park, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in the South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Lakeland, Georgia on April 1, 1942 to the late Daniel Enoch Tomlinson and Lucille Kirkland Tomlinson. She was the co-owner of Zipperer Wrecker Service, was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother; she loved dancing, singing and spending time with her family and working in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Zipperer; two sons Wesley McCallum, Rusty McCallum; one step-son Freddy Zipperer; two brothers Bobby Dan Tomlinson, Sr. and Billy Tomlinson; one sister, Betty T. Peters.
Survivors include: daughter, Teresa Carwein of Lake Park, Georgia; step-children, Tony Zipperer (Tammy) of Clyattville, Georgia, Jeff Zipperer (Stacy) of Lake Park, Georgia; grandchildren: Ron and Dana Carwein, Eric and Kayla McCallum, Shannon and Jake Adams, Crystal McCallum, Lorrie and Tommy Dickerson, Joey and Erica Simpson, Danny McCallum, Will Zipperer, Zack Zipperer, Krista Richardson, Luke Zipperer, Ricky Wood, Renee Plott, Randy Zipperer; twenty-seven great grandchildren and two special nieces: Tammy Davis and Pam Peters.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta. The services will conclude in the chapel.
