Martha A. King

Martha A. King – 84 of Valdosta passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Fellowship Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 7, 1934 in Charlotte, NC to the late William E. & Hattie (Townsend) McCord. Martha worked as a registered nurse for Pineview General and then retired from Crackin Good Bakery as the head of the lab. She loved fishing with her husband, Willard, traveling, gardening, working with flowers in her yard & taking care of her cats. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard A. King, Sr.; son, Willard “Bubba” King, Jr; & stepfather, Andrew Harper.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters & Sons-in-law: Jeanie & S.G. “Griffin” Folsom, Jr. Greensboro, GA, Louise & Hubert Aldridge, Lake Park, GA; Son: Joseph Henry King, II, Leesburg, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Amanda Spivey (Buddy), Scott Aldridge (Libby), Amber Lodge (Justin) & AvaJo Lynn King; 8 Great Grandchildren: Kyndall, Madison & Makenzye Spivey, Addy Aldridge, Thomas, Hannah, Laura & Jacob Lodge; Cousin: Ellen Burrows, Archdale, NC
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
