Marvin Frank Moore – 93
Of Valdosta passed away early Saturday Morning, November 7 in PruittHealth Valdosta after a short illness. He was born in Valdosta to the late Redding Frank and Dollie Belle Moore. Mr. Moore was a veteran having served in the United States Navy for 6 years and fought in World War II and Korean Conflict. He retired from the United States Postal Service as an accountant. He held a Master’s Degree in marriage and family counseling from Valdosta State University. After earning his degree, Mr. Moore went on to counsel many prisoners at the Lake City Correctional Facility in Lake City, FL for several years. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and repairing anything that he could. He loved working with his hands and was a “jack of all trades”. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Edna Earle Grainger Moore, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Cheryl Gardner and husband, David of Valdosta, GA, Phyllis Alane Moore Johnson and husband, Dudley of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren: Crystal White (Chante), Brooke White Perry, Auston White, Franklin Pierce Williams, David Alden Williams; 3 Great Grandchildren: Nora Perry, Willow Perry, Myah Williams, Emma Zaworski and Zachary Zaworski; Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday November 9, 2020 in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Kind thoughts and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at
