Mary Evelyn Culpepper

Mary Evelyn (Brantley) Culpepper – 73 of Ray City, Georgia passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary was born on February 27, 1947 in Echols County, Georgia to the late Myrtice (Harris) and Richie Lee Brantley. Mary had a special love for the well being of children and worked for Little Rascals Daycare and Jesus Loves Me Daycare for many years. She was a long-time member of Azalea City Church of God and also a member of Ray City Church of God. Mary loved to cook and often held cook outs at her home with her family. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, James Manning; siblings: Virginia King and Robert Brantley.
Survivors include her loving husband of over 20 years, Bo Culpepper of Ray City, GA; Children: Laretha Tidwell and husband Jimmy of Ray City, GA, Jerry Manning of Valdosta, GA, Linda Manning of Ray City, GA, Sharon Hill of Ray City, GA, Donna Culpepper of Hahira, GA; Sisters and Brother-in-Law Barbara Brantley; Valdosta, GA, Helen and Frank Turner, Valdosta, GA, Brothers and Sisters-in-Law, Roy Brantley, Valdosta, GA, Raymond Brantley, Valdosta, GA, and Charlie and Cathy Brantley, Valdosta, GA Grandchildren: Alison Brogdon, Michael Powell, Zakk Herring, Noah Hill, Chandler Hill, Jodee Tidwell, JT Tidwell; Numerous great grandchildren, and other family members.
Graveside services will be held Sunday February 21, 2021 in the Beaver Dam Cemetery of Ray City, Georgia. The family will see friends on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 5 PM – 7 PM at the funeral home. Messages of sympathy can be left at www.musicfuneralservices.com . The Culpepper family would like to give thanks to Pruitt Health Hospice for the wonderful care that Heather, Harold, and Pam provided. The family as also asks that social distancing measures be enforced and that masks are worn for the duration of services.
