Mary Stowers Czarny – 90
Of Lakeland, GA passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 in South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born on December 18, 1921 to the late Crum & Dollie Mae Crosby Bridges. She began her career as a waitress in Lakeland at the S & R Drive Inn and later worked with the Garden Restaurant and LACO Restaurant. She loved to cook for family and friends. She was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Mrs. Czarny was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Stowers, 2nd husband, Frank Czarny, 3 Sisters, Betty Robinson, Peggy Preddy and Myrtle Johnson and Brother, Hute Bridges.
Survivors Include: Daughter, Robin Stowers, Jacksonville, FL; Son & Daughter-in-law, Robert & Kazuyo Stowers, Lakeland, GA; Granddaughter: Miki Collins Mike, Pooler, GA; 2 Great Grandchildren: Brayden & Aubrey; 2 Sisters, Janice Carter, Tifton, GA; Margaret Lightsey, Valdosta, GA; 2 Brothers & Sister-in-law, Bobby Bridges, Jacksonville, FL, Jack & Eloise Bridges, Blackshear, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at
