Mary Virginia Flurry

Mary Virginia Flurry, age 88, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1937, in Adel, GA to loving parents, Benjamin Roy Bennett and Myrtice Irene Bennett.

She was a loving and caring woman who dedicated many years of her life as a caregiver with Comfort Keepers, always putting others before herself. She cherished every moment spent with her family and especially loved making memories with her grandchildren, whether it was treating them to strawberry and chocolate milkshakes or walking them to the bus stop each day. Her faith was the center of her life. She loved church deeply, faithfully led the mission’s ministry, and never missed Sunday service. She was also a hardworking woman who spent years as a welder at the shipyard, showing strength, determination, and dedication in everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, J.L Bennett, Lennis Bennett, LaRue Bennett, Martha Ward and Phyllis Friesen.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Cherl L. Willams of Fairbanks, AK, Beverly Bush of Milton, FL and son, John E. Williams Jr. of Hutto, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Bush, Amanda Bush, Kerri Land (Devon), Michelle Brand (John), Micah Williams, Michael Willams and Bethany Williams; 11 great grandchildren including, Victor, Jason, Darian, Mason , Matthew, Jacob, Hannah and Daniel; siblings Joan Legette of Valdosta, GA and Sheila Bennett of Valdosta, GA and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

As per her wishes, she will be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time.
