Mary Omanella Guess Wayne Schalk

Mary Omanella Guess Wayne Schalk – 97 of Lakeland, Florida passed away on Friday, February 5th 2021. She was born in Homerville, Georgia on March 4th, 1923 to the late Martha and Crawford Dewey Guess. She later moved to Tampa, Florida where she married her husband, Everette Wayne and raised their family. She worked for Sears and Roebuck for almost 40 years. After Everette’s passing, she met and later married Raymond Schalk. They then moved to Lakeland, Florida. Along with her parents, she is proceeded by death by her two sisters, Wanda Beadles and Wilma Griffin; both of her husbands; her daughter, Martha Henson; son, Charles Wayne.
Survivors include her brother Robert Guess; granddaughter, Andrea Hardy (Aaron); grandson, Gary Wayne (Melissa); 8 Great- Grandchildren; 8 Great-Great Grandchildren; son-in-law, Carl Henson; daughter-in-law, Judy Wayne.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 13, 2021 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. A burial will follow in the Arabia Cemetery in Clinch County Georgia.
