Mary Blanche Harrell Sloan

Mary Blanche Harrell Sloan – 88 of Lakeland, Georgia passed away on August 27, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on February 3, 1932 in Lakeland, Georgia to the late Ruth (Patten) and Rev. John Harrell. Mary worked for Moody Airforce Base, along with numerous other companies as a registered nurse for over 30 years. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Weldon C. Sloan; brother, John Harrell; nephew, Tommy Gamel.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra Sloan Nix and husband, Shawn of Nashville, GA, Janet Sloan of Nashville, GA; her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Jessie Browning and Sarah Browning; Sister, Rosa Mae Gamel of Atlanta, GA; Special Sister-in-Law, Angela Harrell of Valdosta, GA; Nieces, Susan Merritt of Atlanta, GA, Joan Averett of Valdosta, GA, Rosemary Sirmans of Valdosta, GA; 1 great niece; 2 great nephews; 1 great great nephew; special friend, Jimmy English.
