Mary McGowan Hutchens- 95 of Valdosta, GA passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Holly Hill Nursing Home. Mary was born on January 30, 1924 in Quitman, GA to the late Norman E. & Mary (Lewis) McGowan. Ms. Hutchens worked for C & S Bank in the charge accounts department before retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Valdosta. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Sam McGowan and her sister, Ann Davis.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Mary Ann Saliba of Valdosta, GA, Sandra Finland of Dacula, GA; 2 Sons, Lee Hutchens (Melanie) of Columbus, GA, Gary Hutchens of Nassau, Bahamas; Brother & Sister-in-law: Rev. John L. & Eleanor McGowan of Valdosta, GA; Sister-in-Law: Nancy McGowan of Wilmington, NC;
Grandchildren, Leigh Broomberg (Jaret), Jason Finland (Beth), Jaime Emory (John), Jen Thompson (Ky),
Michelle Cannon, Brad Hutchens, Hillary Hutchens, Lance Hutchens, and Amanda Hutchens; 17 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Pruitthealth Hospice, 407 Cowart Ave., Valdosta, GA 31602 or First United Methodist Church Preschool, 220 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602.
