Of Valdosta passed away Sunday, January 01, 2006 at Smith Northview Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Surry County, N.C. to the late Robert and Fannie Hemmings. She was Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brown Jefferson and son, Joe Ronald Jefferson, Sisters, Pearl Griner, Susie Knowles, Daisy Lemmon, and a Brother Rossie Hemmings.
Survivors Include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Claude & Tiffany Mayden-Myers , Charlston, S.C., Sons and Daughters-in-law, Dean and Martha Jefferson, Valdosta, John B. and Ann Jefferson, Valdosta, 3 Grandchildren; Vick Sellers, Vance & Teresa Sellers, and Rob & Kim Mayden, 7 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, Sisters; Pansy Stodhill, Warner Robin, Ga, Lorenna Spires, Camder, S.C., Vera Harrell, Eaton, Ga., Brother, Willie Hemmings, Albany, Ga.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2005 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
