Mary Alice Lee – 86
Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, GA. She was born on December 14, 1929 in Lakeland, GA to the late Vernon and Rhoda Stalvey Clardy. She was a member of Lakeland United Methodist Church where she served as President of the United Methodist Women. She served on the Lanier County Tax Assessor Board for 18 years. She owned and operated Lee's Beauty Shop for over 54 years. Mrs. Lee also served as the Queen of the Red Hatters in Lakeland and was the Grand Worthy Matron of the District Eastern Star. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. "Moogie" Lee, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lee and a brother, Dolphus Clardy.

Her survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-Law, Larry & Ann Lee of Lakeland, GA, George & Debbie Lee of Nashville, GA; Daughter, Nancy Brooks of Lakeland, GA; 7 Grandchildren, Alex Lee Kristie, Brandon Brooks, Mary Carol Greene Kemp, Fleming Brooks Lee, Lana Wilson Ben, Mandy Hendley Cliff, Emily Morris Skyler; 9 Great Grandchildren: Zach Lee, Layne Lee, Taylor Brooks, Baye Wilson, Blythe Wilson, Jack Greene, Will Greene, Grace Hendley and Paxton Hendley and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00P.M. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Lakeland United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Lovejoy Cemetery. Mrs. Lee will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 5:00P.M.until 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.
