Mary Faye Moore Sirmans
Mary Faye Moore Sirmans, 70 of Lakeland passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital from a sudden illness. She was born Oct. 17, 1941 to the late Charles Leland Moore and Blannie Marie Griner in Lanier County, Ga. She was a seamstress in the garment industry who worked all her life with Levis, Tanglewood, Ithaca, Nashville Textile, and Wilkinson Textile. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Lanier County, Ga. She was a dedicated wife to her husband of 51 years, devoted mother to her children, and grandchildren. She had a very special relationship with her only sister.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, James Sirmans of Lakeland, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Lee Emanuel of Lakeland, Ga., Janet and Jimmy Morrow, Murphy, N.C., Heather and Jason Webrand, Lakeland, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Dionne Sirmans, Lakeland, Ga., Lee and Tabitha Sirmans, Ft. Stewart, Ga.; grandchildren: Derek and Matthew Emanuel, Lakeland, Ga., Keri and Jayson Schwenn, Valdosta, Ga., Josh Morrow, Jessica Foster, Murphy, N.C., Hannah and Madison Webrand, Lakeland, Ga., Erica, Zane, Shane, Haleigh, and Tanner Sirmans, Lakeland, Ga, Caleb and Drew Courson, and Maggie and Bekah Sirmans, Ft. Stewart, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Zoe Foster, Murphy, N.C., Rylee and Lily Schwenn, Valdosta, Bryson and Baby Morrow, Murphy N.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Albert Studstill, Ray City; brother and sister-in-law Dwight and Marion Moore, Warner Robins, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Mary Moore, Hahira; sister-in-law, Ernestine Hamilton, Valdosta; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Martha Sirmans, Lakeland, Ga.; brother and sister–in-law, Chandler and Diane Sirmans, Lakeland, Ga.; a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles "Leland" and Blannie Griner Moore, a sister-in-law, Geraldine "Gerry" Sirmans and a brother-in-law, Rulus Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, July 17, 2012 in the Bethel Baptist Church with burial held in Burnt Church cemetery in Lanier County, Ga.
