Mary Anne Pace, age 61,
Of Valdosta, GA, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness She was born February 6, 1949 in Columbus, GA to the late Joseph and Tessie Smith Layfield. She had a great love for children and was a member of WOW women of Westside, the bus Ministry as well as helped start the food pantry ministry at Bemiss Road Baptist Church. She attended the women of Faith Sunday School class at Perimeter Road Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Ms. Pace was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Morgan Pace, Sr. a daughter, Susanne Newell, and Grandchildren, Alexander Morgan Pace, Erin Brooke Pace, and Jennifer Lynn Newell
Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-Law, Richard M., JR & Jeannie Pace, Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren: Preston Taylor Pace, Lindsey Morgan Pace, Caitlin Michelle Newell, Catherine Leighanne Newell, James Michael Newell; Son-in-Law, Michael Newell, Lagrange, GA; Sisters: Elizabeth Medley, Columbus, GA, Melanie Brown, Dothan, AL; Brother: J.A. Layfield, Atlanta, GA
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 Am. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening Monday, January 24, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
