Mary Jo Reid

Mary Jo Reid – 88 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Saturday November 7, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born on December 4, 1931 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Bessie Mae (Hill) and Homer Lee Forehand, Sr. Mary was a long-time active member of the Lake Park First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and doing things for people. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Albert Reid, brother, Homer Lee Forehand, Jr and sister, Marie Elder.
Survivors Include: Daughter & Son-in-law: Rhonda & Howard Myers, Gadsden, AL; 2 Sons & Daughter-in-law: Homer & Charlene Reid, Cairo, GA, Joseph Reid, Valdosta, GA; Granddaughter: Christina Lynn Poole, Leesburg, GA; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Special Friend: Beckie Mayer, Griffin, GA Furry Friend: Molly.
Funeral Services will 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lake Park First Baptist Church. The family ask that face coverings be utilized. The Reid family is being served by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
