Mary Sanders

Mary Sanders, age 75, of Lake Park, Georgia passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, September 22, 2026, at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Georgia. She was born to the loving parents of Andrew and Vivian (Jenkins) Hendrix on September 10, 1951, in Garfield, Georgia.

Mary was a special woman who was devoted to and loved her family deeply- always hosting family reunions, holiday events and activities at her home. Her grandchildren were her life; she loved each and every one of them- and they all loved her equally as much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband, Winford Sanders; three sisters, Elizabeth Johnson, Glenda Woodcock and Joann Hendrix; brothers, AJ Hendrix and Richard Hendrix

She is survived by her loving and devoted sons, William Boone (Brandy) of Lake Park, Georgia; Terrell Boone, Jr. (Natalie) of Juliet Georgia; and Jeffery Boone of Sylvania, Georgia; grandchildren, Jeffery Boone Jr. (Taylee), Jacey Howell (Franklin), Jeremy Boon, Jerry Thorne (Hannah), Brandon Boone, Brett Boone, Blair Mercer (Cody), William Boone Jr., Kevin Bone (Koryn) Brandi Day (Jeremia), Justin Boone, Kyle Boone, Brianna Sandlin (James); numerous great grandchildren; brothers, James Hendrix, Frank Hendrix and Jerry Hendrix all of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, September 25, 2026, at Music Funeral Services in Valdosta, Georgia. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at 10:00AM.
