Mary Lou Talley – 84
Of Adel, GA passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Berrien Nursing Center. She was born on March 10, 1935 in Concord, NC to the late Archie and Lucy (Smith) Harris. She worked as a Sales Advisor with Kmart. She loved her children and grandchildren and was known to them and others as a great cook. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmack Talley, 2 brothers, Ethridge “Bill” Harris, Irvin Harris, and 2 sisters, Doris Alman, Mildred Savage.
Survivors include: Son, Allen Wood of Adel, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, David and Elaine Wood of Lanexa, VA; Daughter, Charlotte Harrell of Adel, GA; Grandchildren: Brandy Crumley (Buck), Teekeela Aranda, Mary Beth Wood, Hannah Hyde (Caleb); Great Grandchildren: Christopher, Amber, Nathanael, Elam and Reba; Sister, Faye Hutto of Valdosta, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 20, 2020 in the chapel of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta. A private burial will be held at Fellowship Cemetery in Cecil, GA. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com . In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Bethany Hospice. The compassionate and caring staff of Music Funeral Services, Azalea Crematory of Valdosta is serving Mrs. Talley’s family.
