In Loving Memory of Maynard Duane Foote
June 1, 1935 – July 24, 2025
Maynard Duane Foote, 90, of Stockton, Georgia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 1, 1935, in New York, Maynard lived a life defined by service, strength, and deep devotion to his family.
A retired Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy, Maynard served his country with honor and distinction. After retiring from the military, he continued to live by the values he held dear—hard work, integrity, and generosity. He found joy in being outdoors and was known for always lending a helping hand.
While living in Ellijay, Georgia, he was a proud member of the Good Neighbor Club, a reflection of his commitment to his community.
Maynard was married to his first wife, Ernestine, for 47 loving years until her passing in 2006. Together, they built a strong and caring family. After her passing, Maynard later married Racine of Charlotte, North Carolina, and they shared six years of companionship and love before her passing in 2016.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wives, Ernestine and Racine, and by his daughter, Tina.
He is survived by his daughter Brenda and her husband, Leo; grandchildren Sarah, Donnie, and Teryl; and great-grandchildren Lillie, Saylor, and Barrett.
His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the lessons he instilled—to be respectful, to work hard, and to appreciate the value of family. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Maynard’s life was a shining example of service, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
