Melba Ruth Boyd

Melba Ruth Boyd, 85, Of Sylvester, GA passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2017 at Pruitt Health of Sylvester. She was born on February 27, 1932 in Nashville, GA to the late John and Alice Brooks Moore. She had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell David Boyd; brother, Donald Moore, Sr.
Survivors include: Caregiver & Nephew, Mike & Jane Moore of Doerun, GA; A number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
