Michael Duane Bowen, Jr. – 32 of Port Hadlock, WA and formerly of Valdosta, GA passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 in his home in Port Hadlock, WA. He was born on December 27, 1987 to Michael and Anne Argyle Bowen. Michael was born and raised in Valdosta, GA and after his high school graduation, he attended both Wiregrass Technical College and Valdosta State University. Michael was a Master at Arms for the United States Navy. As a young adult Michael was an eagle scout, and from 2007-2009 he was a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Michael is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert C. Bowen, Sr. and maternal grandfather, Nolan J. Argyle.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Hnatovic Bowen of Port Hadlock, WA; his parents; Anne A. Bowen and Michael D. Bowen, Sr.; brothers, James Robert Bowen and Christopher Adam Bowen both of Valdosta, GA; paternal Grandmother, Mary L. Bowen of Wilmington, NC; maternal Grandmother, LaVeda M. Argyle of Valdosta, GA; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Georgia, North Carolina, and Missouri states.
Private funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. As Michael was a decorated sailor, he earned the right to be buried in the Tallahassee National Cemetery amongst the thousands of soldiers who laid their life down for their country.
