Michael “Mike” Melvin – 54
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on June 9, 1966 in Nashville, TN to the late Kenneth James Keith and Barbara (Wright) Starkey. Michael worked as mechanic doing autobody repair. He loved cars, motorcycles, cooking, wood working. Michael loved his family and his pets. Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his Step-father, Robert Starkey.
Survivors include: Wife of 13 years, Stephanie Melvin of Valdosta, GA; Daughter, Candice Melvin of Nashville, TN; Son, Michael Melvin of Nashville, TN; Daughter, April Reynolds and husband, Jesse of Nashville, TN; Son, Eric Melvin of Valdosta, GA; Son, Justin Dupree and wife, Magan of Valdosta, GA; Son, Ryan Dupree of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren: Mykaela, O’rian, Caison, Jordan, McKenna, Mark, Ray, Kylie and Waylon; Mother, Barbara Starkey; Brothers, Roger Melvin and wife, Shelly of Nashville, TN and Randy Melvin of Nashville, TN; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Nancy and Charles Holtzclaw; Brother-in-law, Chuck Holtzclaw and wife, Marie along numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A celebration of life service honoring Michael will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
