Michele D. Hobby – 81
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in the Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 18, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late Thomas & Florence (Peyton) Dozier. Michele obtained her master’s degree in psychology and her BSN in Nursing at Valdosta State College and retired as a hospice nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. Her love for her patients was unwavering. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles F. Hobby, Jr.
Survivors include her Daughters & Sons-in-law: Helen E. Hobby (John Hardin), Rincon, GA, Vicki A. Winningham (Don), Lincoln, AL; Sons & Daughter-in-law: Thomas W. Hobby (Brandi), Valdosta, GA, John M. Hobby, Charlottesville, VA; Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Peter M. Dozier (Kathryn), Virginia Beach, VA, David T. Dozier (Marie), Aransas Pass, TX; eight Grandchildren; four Great Grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes she will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.
