Milton Devane Thornton

Milton Devane Thornton Sr., age 56, of Lake Park, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He was born in Valdosta, GA on July 31, 1969, to loving parents, Wilson Thornton Sr. and Betty Suggs Thornton.

He loved playing the guitar, riding his dune buggy, shooting pool, and simply having a good time. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel like a friend. His warm personality and joyful spirit brought laughter and companionship wherever he went.

Milton was married to the love of his life, Ann Thornton, for 25 wonderful years. Together they shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew them.

He worked skillfully as a Tree Surgeon for many years for Colquitt EMC- taking pride in his career.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Christina and Tammy Thornton.

Milton is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ann Thornton of Lake Park, GA; siblings, Darrell Thronton (Penny) of Newnan, GA, Wilson Eugene Thornton, Teresa Smith (Joe) of Ludowici, GA, Anna Thornton of Clyattville, GA and Michael Thornton of Clyattville, GA; children, Milton Thornotn, Jr. (Ahsley) of Folkston, GA, Darrell Thornton (Heather) of Statenville, GA and Beth Thornton of Crawfordville, GA and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Music Funeral Services in Valdosta.
