Minnie Nell Ledford – 81
Of Naylor, Georgia entered the arms of our savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 17, 2023 at her son’s home. She was born on October 28, 1941 in Homerville, Georgia to the late J.D. Ballance and Nettie Mae (Smith) Ballance. She enjoyed crocheting and was a devoted grandmother. She was a devoted Christian and was the longest standing member of the Naylor Community Christian Church for 52 years. She was an obedient servant of the Lord and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, Pat Ledford; sister, Jeanette Humbers; daughter-in-law, Lisa Colburn; brother, David Ballance; great grandson, Cason Knox.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Taylor and Todd of Lakeland, Georgia; daughter, Laura Fitch and husband Jeff of Naylor, Georgia; son, Ricky Colburn and wife Jeri Simmons of Hahira, Georgia; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; trusted companion, Beau.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Naylor Community Christian Church with burial to follow in Burnt Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Naylor Community Christian Church, 5960 Savannah Road, Naylor, GA 31641.
