Mona Sue Schwartz – 76
Of Valdosta passed away at her residence early Tuesday morning, July 16, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 25, 1942 in Rochdale, AL to the late Jack and Alice (Calhoun) Smith. Along with her parents she is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert; Grandson, Dustin; Great Grandchildren, Travis and Brandi. Sue had a heart of gold and was like a mother to countless children and adults within her neighborhood and all around her.
Survivors include her Daughters; Candy (Ed) Williamsen, Douglas, GA, Cassandra (Bob) Ellington, Pinetta, GA, Alice (Doug) Johnson, Crawford, FL, Tiame (Allen) Weldon, Lake Park, GA, Sons; Johnny Thompson, CA, Ken Thompson (Miles), Rhine, GA, Darrell Thompson (Pam), Nashville, GA
26 Grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, Sisters; Clevadell Smith, Valdosta, GA, JoAnn Meaders, Walnut Grove, GA, Brother, Jimmy Smith, Walnut Grove, GA, , and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family members.
As per her wishes, she will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2019, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
