Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her daughter's residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 1, 1929 to Jim & Emily Powell Spradley and was raised by her father Jim and beloved stepmother Ruby Spradley. She worked at Texture Tech Carpet as a machine operator and later in life became loving caregiver for the elderly. She was also a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Summerlin; 2 sons, Ronnie and Johnnie Summerlin; grandson, Jason Harnage, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors Include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Connie and Curtis Johns of Nahunta, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Janice and Larry Harnage of Valdosta, GA; 4 Grand Children: Brandie Wiggins, Amanda Johns, Chad Johns, and Robert Johns; 6 Great Grandchildren; Sister and Brother-in-law, Linda and Tony Gibbs of Adel, GA; Brother and Sister-in-law, Harold & Reba Spradley of Adel, GA; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Valdosta, GA at 2:00P.M with burial to follow in Benevolence Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Music Funeral Services of Valdosta, GA is serving the Summerlin family.
