Of Lakeland, GA passed away Tuesday evening, April 20, 2004 in South Georgia Medical Center following declining health for sometime. He was born in Colquitt County, GA and had lived in Lakeland most of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator, an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved dogs all his life and had a special pal Punkin for the past several years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Weeks, sister, Linnie Bell Stansell and brother, Jeff Weeks.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Debra Weeks, Naylor, GA, 2 daughters & son-in-law, Dianne and Jimmy Vaughn, Lakeland, GA, Carolyn Thomas, Lakeland, 8 Grandchildren; Paula Fitzgerald, Lee Vaughn, Bryan Vaughn and wife Iris, Wade Weeks and wife Dana, April Corbett, Shawn Corbett, Zackary Thomas and Erica Thomas, 9 Great Grandchildren; Gunnar Fitzgerald, Vaughn Fitzgerald, Vince Owens, Tyler Weeks, Davey Vaughn, Bryson Vaughn, Brianna Corbett, Ben Corbett, Jr. and Kelvin Gaines, Jr.

Graveside funeral services were held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004 in Greenlawn Cemetery.
