Of Lakeland passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Ft. Meyers, Fl. to the late Joe and Annie Belle Conrad Newbern. He was a member of Search for the Truth Church in Nashville and worked as a farmer. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Joe B. Newbern, Jr., Francis Newbern and Barron Newbern.
Survivors Include: Wife, Betty Sue Newbern, Lakeland, a number of Nieces and Nephew which he raised, Sister and Brother-in-law, Lois & Theron Russom, Kosciusko, MS, Brother and Sister-in-law, Cecil T. & Jean Newbern, Lagrange, GA.
Funeral Services were held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family received friends from 1:00 P.M. until services time
