Muriel Downs
Of Valdosta, formerly of Miami, FL passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Brooks County Hospital. She was born August 16, 1920 in Akron, Ohio to the late William Robinson and Pheobe Anne Young Robinson. Muriel enjoyed doing crafts and was an active member of Gateway Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clisby Downs, and a son, Vernon Downs.
Survivors include: Son & Daughter –in-Law, Hugh & Joyce Downs, Valdosta, GA, 7 Grandchildren: Kelly Arnold Glenn, Sandy Hawley Neil, Belinda Downs, James Downs Stephanie, Herb Mason Kathryn, Cindy Mason and Scott Mason Rhonda; 18 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Hilda Lipscomb, Valdosta, GA, Annie Parrish, Valdosta, GA
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in New Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
