Myrna Rose Raney

Myrna Rose Raney - 81 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on August 11, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 11, 1940 in Sullivan, Indiana to the late Clarence and Hazel Smith. She was a member of Truth Harbor Apostolic Church. A lady of deep faith and strong convictions, loving mother and a faithful friend. Her life was devoted to serving others as a pastor’s wife for almost 40 years. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her 5 children: Linda Pace, Larry Raney, Sherry Lietha, Danny Raney, and Kimberly Smith; sister, Sandy Cox and brother, Harvey Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Lana Holt and husband, Marcus of Evans, Georgia; 4 sons, Russell Raney and wife, Andra of Seymour, Indiana, Joseph Raney and wife, Lisa of Port Orchard, Washington, Stephen Raney of Valdosta Georgia, Randy Raney and wife, George of Worthington, Indiana, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Truth Harbor Apostolic Church, 4202 Loch Laurel Road, Lake Park, GA 31636 with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3945 North Valdosta Road, Valdosta, GA 31602. Ms. Raney will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
