She was born on December 6, 1943 in Lowndes County to the late John Wesley Werts and Sepulchre Peach Richardson. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Lois Werts.

She leaves to cherish her memories: A loving and devoted Niece, Shearreon Rush Kevin of Eldorado, GA; A nephew, Harrell Fitzgerald Werts of Valdosta, GA; 2 Great Nieces, Shantana Cobb Kelby of Jacksonville, FL; Keiara Latoya Harper of Atlanta, GA; 2 Great Nephews, Kendrick Leonard Harper of Atlanta, GA; Crederius Jermal Rush of Eldorado, GA; 2 Great-Great Nieces, Zhiyon Serenity Harper of Atlanta, GA; Jounery Zhimere Stready of Atlanta, GA; 2 Great-Great Nephews; Kyle and Cameron Cobb of Jacksonville, FL and a host of loving cousins and friends
