Myrtle Wynnell Giddens

Of Ray City, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 in the South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia after a brief illness. She was born in Cook County, Georgia October 21, 1937 to the late Charles Haven and Inez Elizabeth Taylor Myers. She was a homemaker living in Berrien County in the Ray City area all of her life. Her greatest love was for the Lord and her family. Her past time included making music, writing songs and writing poems. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl Jackie Giddens and son-in-law Rev. David Stalvey.

Great-Grandchildren: Becky Lindsey, Casey Lindsey, Ty Bowen, Kinsley Brogdon, Tyler Evans, Natalie Evans, Suanna Morris, David Morris, John Haven Stalvey, Autrey Stalvey



Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Ray City with burial following in Beaver Dam Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
