Myrtle Delk Moore Adams – 85
Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018. She was born on January 25, 1933 to the late George Flemming and Fannie (Vining) Delk. Myrtle was a loving, devoted and compassionate person to her family and her many friends. She was known for her beautiful smile and her sense of humor. She was competitive and loved playing cards, writing short stories as well as poetry and music. She had a record made of one of her songs and she put together a treasured book of memories for her family.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Stapleton of Newbern, NC, Larry and Jan Moore of Lakeland, GA; Deloras and Ronnie Courson of Lakeland, GA; Linda and Rick O’Connell of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Stapleton, Becky (Chad) Collins, Stacy (Walt) Branch, Scott (Crystal) Courson, Serena Moore, Walt (Yahira) Moore, Letitia Benefield and Heather (Mark) Waggoner; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Delk and Paul Delk; two sisters, Mary Nobles and Leola Hanson; as well as her loving little dog, Maggie. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
