Myrtice Wilene Morgan, age 76, of Nashville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday morning, October 11, 2025. She was born on March 27, 1948, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Willis Boykin and Ruby Suggs.
Myrtice was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by kindness, faith, and devotion to her family. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time in her greenhouse nurturing vegetables and flowers, enjoying quiet days of freshwater fishing, and delighting in cooking and preparing snacks to share with those she loved. Her home and heart were always open to others, and she took genuine pleasure in caring for her family and friends.
To her beloved grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Granny,” a name that perfectly captured her nurturing spirit and gentle heart. To her nieces and nephews, she was the ever-loving “Aunt Myrtice,” whose warmth, laughter, and generosity touched countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; J.P. Morgan; sisters, Lucy Couch, Mary Alice Boykin Brown, Wilma Boykin and Nell Leveille; her brothers, Julian Boykin, Bill Boykin, Vinson Boykin, Gerald Boykin, and Marshall Boykin; sisters-in-law, Sharon Ann Boykin, Betty Sue Boykin, and Dottie Morgan; and brother-in-law, Houston Brown.
She is survived by her loving family: daughters: Sandra Robinson of Nashville, GA; Lisa Jones (Chris) of Oliver Springs, TN; sons: Michael Robinson (Lori Stalvey) of Hahira, GA; Keith Morgan (Vickie) of Oliver Springs, TN; brother: Wayne Boykin (Cindy) of Adel, GA; sisters-in-law: Judy Boykin of Hahira, GA; Anita Vaughn (Ronnie) of Tifton, GA; brothers-in-law: Bill Morgan of Stockbridge, GA; Edsol Morgan (Ann) of Senioa, GA; Wayne Morgan (Pat) of Tifton, GA; grandchildren: Julie Robinson; Garth Robinson and Blaine Robinson; Scott Morgan (Hailey); Wayne Morgan (Breanna); Brandon (Tabitha) Jones; Summer Jones; Peyton Jones; and Austin (Ali) Jones; Brett Haines; Katie Michelle McClure; and Chelsea Dawn Miller; great-grandchildren: Jacob and Luke Morgan; Lawson Haines; Courtney Renee Miller; Norah “Squeaky” Jones; Natalie and Elliott Morgan; Jr. Hopkins, Jada Robinson, and Jaylin Robinson; Desiree Robinson.
