Nancy Ruby Dickinson

Nancy Ruby Dickinson, age 77, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. She was born in Valdosta, GA on October 13, 1948, to parents William Whitt Akins and Eunice Perkins Akins.

She worked as a consultant for Partnership Health Center. A devoted member of her church and garden club, she found joy in community and service. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, especially through floral arranging. She also loved listening to Elvis and spent many hours researching her family’s genealogy, taking great pride in discovering and preserving her family history.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy is survived by her son, William Scott Hanner (Stephanie) of Centerville, GA and her grandson, William Trent Hanner.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the funeral home.
