Nancy Wood King – 82 of Nashville, GA passed away Friday morning, October 29, 2021 in the Berrien Nursing Center. She was born on January 8, 1939 in Hahira, GA to the late Clayton and Mattie Elma (Sirmans) Cook. She worked as a bus driver for Berrien County Schools 14 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family was everything to her. Not only did she enjoy cooking, she was one of the best. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren said she was “The World’s Best Nana”. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children: Bobby Wood; husband: Paul King; son: Kenny Wood; brother: Bobby Cook and sister: Bettye Shearl.
Survivors Include: Daughter: Nancy Wood, Ray City, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law: Ed & Teresa Wood, Valdosta, GA; 8 Grandchildren: Kris Kieon (Jessica), Jon Kieon (Amber), Pamela Pilcher, Kyle Wood (Jennifer), LeAnne Chaffin (Michael), Lindsey Griffin (Tony), Kala McMichen (Matt) and James Camp (Kia); 14 Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 31, 2021 in the Empire Cemetery, Lakeland, GA. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at
