Of Lakeland passed away at her residence Sunday, March 12, 2006 from a battle with cancer. Ms. Lantis was born in Lanier County on February 15, 1942 to the late Mack L. & Rachel S. Burkhalter. Ms. Lantis worked for South Georgia Medical Center as a registered nurse for 19 years. Ms. Lantis was a professional grandma and a Methodist by faith. She was preceded in death by her Brother, McDonald Burkhalter.
Survivors include:
Daughter & Son-in-law Teresa & Russell Melligan Lakeland, Ga.
Son & daughter-in-law Duane & Missy Lantis Lakeland, Ga.
Grandchildren: Caitlin Webb, Aaron Webb, Alyssa Lantis, Austin Lantis & Cody Melligan.
3 Sisters Marge Hilborn Lakeland, Ga.
Eunice Massey Broken Arrow, Ok Jean Abrahamsen Lakeland, Ga.
Brother James Earl Burkhalter Douglasville, Ga.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 16, 2006 in the Lakeland United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM.
