Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in Heritage House Nursing Home after an illness. Nancy was born on November 6, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Mae (Keen) and Claude Higgins. She operated her own seamstress business for many years. Nancy was a devoted mother grandmother. She was also a very loyal friend to all. Nancy was very involved in the St. Barnabas Church. She was proudly in charge of the church kitchen and was affectionately called “The Kitchen Queen”. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Harry Reese; her granddaughter: Lindsey Houchins; sisters: Dot Greene, Mary Meyers, and Carol Higgins.
Her survivors include, Children: Christopher Lee Jester (Cynthia) of Tallahassee, FL, Matthew Roy (Angela) of Nashville, GA; step-daughters: Brendagayle Houchins (Robert) of Valdosta, GA, Linda Reese-Harris of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren: Shannon Houchins of Nashville, TN, Reese Houchins of Valdosta, GA, Cameron de Craen of Nashville, GA, Victoria Evans of Nashville, GA; Numerous great and great great grandchildren; Sister, Shirley Boyles of Broken Arrow, OK; Numerous nieces and nephews.
