Nanette Lee "Davis" Patten died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at her home in Lakeland.

Nanette was born in East Point, Fulton County, Georgia on January 28, 1930 to William Homer Davis and Iona Ernestine "Hutcheson" Davis. After a brief career at Fuller Brush Company, she continued her education at Valdosta State College, Texas Wesleyan University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nanette was appointed, alongside her husband, as a missionary to Thailand by the Southern Baptist International Mission Board in 1960. She served on the mission field as homemaker, hostess and helpmate. While homeschooling her children, Nanette also taught English as a second language to Thai young people. After returning to the United States in 1975, Nanette continued her ministry as Administrative Assistant at First Baptist Church, Lakeland and Rose Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, GA. Throughout her life, she was actively involved in the churches where her husband served as pastor.

Nanette married John Evans Patten December 16, 1950. During their 64 years together, their family grew to include one son and three daughters; seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren: Terry & Rocky Moore Tiffany & Ryan Gowens and daughter Quinn; Pat & Kay Patten Ken & Staci Register and children Kaid, Kennadi, Kamden and Karis; Donna & Rick Fenchel Alex & Jolene Johnson and children Reilly and Jonah, Sara Johnson, Melanie Johnson, Sam Johnson, Tressa Fenchel and daughter Azura, and Kaidra Fenchel; Laurie & Rick Sheehan Ashley & Daniel McAlpine and son Mason; Tessa & Joe French, Evan Sheehan and Kendall Sheehan.

Nanette is preceeded in death by her parents and brother, William Homer Davis, Jr.

Remembrances by flowers or contributions to the Lottie Moon Offering of the International Mission Board, can be made through Southside Baptist Church, 326 South Hwy 221, Lakeland, GA 31635.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 20, 2015 at Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland, Georgia with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
