Naomi Eleanor Young – 98
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Sunday Morning March 10, 2008 in the Brooks County Hospital in Quitman, GA after a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of the Presbyterian Home in Quitman for a Short period of time. She was born in Meridian, Mississippi on July 26, 1909 to the late Flavel and Nancy Shumate Ethridge. She influenced the lives of many children by being a teacher in the Meridian City School System. She was a member of the Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church in Meridian, MS where she taught Sunday School for a large number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 Brothers F.D. Ethridge, Jr. and John Ethridge.

Daughter and Son-in-law – Nancy and Jerry Morgan - Valdosta, GA
Grandchildren – John C. and Sandra Morgan, Kathleen Morgan, Rebecca and Juan Carlos Galeano, Jessica and Eric Castor
Great Grandchildren – Noemi Galeano, Madeline Castor, Louden Castor
Sister – Betty Lipsey - Easley, SC
Sister-in-Law – Eleanor Ethridge – Meridian, MS

Funeral services will he held in Meridian, Mississippi later this week. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Valdosta between 5:00 and 7:00 P.M. this evening.
