She was born in Lowndes County, Georgia on December 15, 1919 to the late William Robert & Riellie Young Jefferson. Ms. Mathis was a member of Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker to her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Mathis.
Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law , Robert & Joan Mathis
Cincinnati, OH. Grandchildren: Angela Grossi, David Mathis, Jan Stevens & Jeff Cole, 5 Great-Grandchildren, Sister, Geneva Purdy, Fitzgerald, Ga.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
