Odie Burnette Wilson

Odie Burnette Wilson, 80, of Valdosta passed away on August 21, 2020 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Quitman, GA on August 27, 1939 to the late Roy and Vara Wilson. Odie was the co-owner of Ashley Glass Co. of Valdosta and had been in the glass business for 46 years. Odie was an avid dog lover. He also loved his “Golden Girls”. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his partner, Phillip Allen Shaw; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.
Odie is survived by his sister, Vara Lee Greene of Gray, GA; Brother, Roy Lee Wilson, Jr. of Valdosta, GA; Best friend of 30 years and business partner, Kelly Jones of Valdosta, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews in which he grew to love throughout the years.
A private burial will be held for Odie Burnette Wilson at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman, GA. Per the family’s request, there will be no formal visitation or service.
