Opal Edith Mullis – 81
Of Stockton, GA passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on December 16, 1938 to the late Elmer Ezra Kelly and Hettie (Holmes) Bennett. She retired from Levi Strauss and Co. as a Training Supervisor. Opal was a lifelong member of the Grace Baptist Church of Naylor, GA. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Mullis; Sister, Elsie Bennett; and Brothers, James Kelly and Obie Kelly.
Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law, Gary and Chris Mullis of Stockton, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Karen and Danny Rickman of Stockton, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Penny and Ray Parker of Hahira, GA; Grandchildren: Josh Mullis, Zach Mullis (Wendy), Mandy Murray (Phil), Keri Banks (Brian), Ethan Parker, Erin Parker, and Daniel Rickman; Great Grandchildren: Tucker Browning, Lance Mullis, Analee Mullis, Tayten Murray, River Banks, Gatlin Banks, and soon to be Lily Claire Mullis; Brother, Heyward “Bo” Bennett of Lakeland, GA; Sister, Mavis Fender of Hahira, GA; Sister, Dena Arnold of Homerville, GA; Sister, Hazel Ellis of Barney, GA.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Stockton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the graveside from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2020. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at
