Of Lakeland passed away early Thursday morning, September 15, 2005, in Louis Smith Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Lanier County, GA on April 22, 1926 to the late Horace & Mattie Murray. Mrs. Murray had a love of cooking and working in her flower garden. She was employed as a nurse at South Georgia Medical Center formerly known as Pineview Hospital in Valdosta for 17 years and at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital for 16 years. She was preceded in death by her sister Nettie Mae Towles and brothers Buck Murray, Dana Murray, Gilbert Murray, Haley Murray, Hayes Murray, Howard Murray, and Moye Murray.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 17, 2005 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Burnt Church Cemetery.
