Pafford Paul Carter

Pafford Paul Carter – 83 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in his home. He was born on January 16, 1937 in Lowndes County, Georgia to the late Pearl (Storey) and Hiram Carter. Pafford worked for many years with Strickland Cotton Mill, where he eventually held the title of supervisor. He also farmed and worked with South Georgia Vault Company for many years. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years and mother to his children, Mary Barfield Carter; daughter, Lisa Carter; grandchildren: Bobo Williams and Ryan Dell; siblings: Charlie Carter, Albert Carter, Coney Carter, Dick Carter, Mark Carter, Susie Hooper, Leona Upchurch, Pearlie Davis, Dora Yeomans.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Carter of Valdosta, GA; Children: Robbie Carter and wife Marie, Jeannie Roberson (Ricky Browning), Diane Boon and husband Malachi; Grandchildren: Jonna West, Paul Carter, Wayne Carter, Chip Roberson; Siblings: Flora Warren of WV, Shirley Davis of LA, Ralph Mears of FL; Great grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Kaydence, Carsten, Bridger, Landers; Numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday December 31, 2020 in the Hickory Grove Cemetery of Valdosta, Georgia.
