The family of Pamela Avery Roquemore regret to inform of her passing, this morning, August 22, 2024 after battling illness. Pamela was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on December 16, 1951. Pamela was raised in Antigo and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse. After college, she promptly moved south, working in a pro shop at Hamlet Golf Club in Del Ray Beach, FL, where she met Rocky Roquemore. They were married a few months later, on November 30, 1974. They enjoyed 50 honeymoons together in many different parts of the world. They were the proud parents of William (Bill) A. Roquemore, III (Erica) and Jolie Roquemore Vigh (Jason) and four wonderful grandchildren, Avery and Evan Vigh of Newnan, GA and Will and Olivia Roquemore, of Hull, GA. In addition to Rocky and her children, Pam is survived by her younger brothers, Steve (Sherry) and Craig (Resa) Avery, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Roquemores are very private people and have kept a small circle of close friends and a larger circle of family. There is no service planned, as per her wishes. In lieu of gifts or flowers, Pamela requested donations be made to Phillips-Amick Foundation which supports cancer patients undergoing clinical trials to help them afford travel costs. One hundred percent of these donations go directly to patients. Checks can be sent to Phillips-Amick Foundation for Cancer Research at 111 Smith Hines Rd, Suite E, Greenville, SC 29607 Attn: Riley Polk.
We extend our deepest thanks to those who contributed to her care and improving her quality of life. She was grateful to everyone who tried to help her live.
