Pastor Charles Ellsworth Davis, Sr. – 67
Of Ray City, GA received his heavenly reward on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 26, 1950 in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Leon and Margaret Davis. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Davis owned and operated Painting by Charles for more than 30 years. Serving God was his passion. He was in ministry for almost 20 years and has been serving as the Pastor of Azalea City Church of God of Prophecy since 2008. Pastor Davis loved God first, his family and his church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Davis and two brothers, Bill Davis and Frank Davis.

Survivors include his Wife, Tammy Davis of Ray City, GA; Daughter, Stephanie Davis of Lakeland, GA;
Sons, Charles Davis, Jr. of Valdosta, GA, Shane Davis of Swainsboro, GA; Step Children, Sarah Pendergrass of Valdosta, GA & Larry Cone, Jr.; Grandchildren, Izabell Davis, Braylon Davis, Preston Davis, Natalie Caldwell, Shaela Bishop, Trenton Bishop, T.J. Pendergrass, Chase Pendergrass, Dalton Willaford & Landon Cone; Sister & Brother-in-Law, Regina & Karl Donelson of Penns Grove, NJ; Brother & Sister-in-Law, George & Betty Davis of Toledo, OH; Special Sister-in-Law, Pamela Peters of Ray City, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life and homegoing service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Cat Creek Cemetery.
